Introducing curious.strangeleaflet.com and a new theme
Hello! I've been having a ton of fun vibing up self-contained HTML pages to explore random interests and I finally assembled a hosting setup. You can find them all at https://curious.strangeleaflet.com and they are literally straight up from the public folder of curious-strangeleaflet. Very intentionally there's no cohesive theming, no build step, no script at all required. There is a script to serve them all up locally but that's just for convenience the pages work equally well when opened directly as HTML.
You can find a page on how bitfield encoding works which is a much more feature-filled version of the bitfield explorer I have on my toy Elixir site.
Or maybe mess around with complex numbers?
Or check out how morse code operators were basically doing pro-gamer speed things in the 1800s?
Check out the "text adventure interface" on the index page where you can jump back to like 1983 when I, as a little kid, was completely entranced by ZORK and Enchanter and the like. It's all themed like I remember the INFOCOM games running on our Atari 800XL.
I also finally decided to work up a proper theme for this blog. I hope you enjoy!
